This Community Service (PkM) activity aimed to strengthen maritime safety literacy among coastal fishers in Karang Serang Village through the use of weather and water-condition information. The activity was conducted on 14 September 2026 and involved 50 participants. The implementation methods included educational and communicative lectures, discussions, a perception questionnaire, and the introduction of a decision-making framework consisting of weather checks, vessel-condition checks, safety-equipment checks, communication checks, and the final sailing decision. The materials covered weather and water-condition parameters, the use of smartphones and GPS, early-warning systems, vessel-readiness inspections, emergency communication, and the decision categories GO, CONSIDER, and NO-GO. Activity documentation confirmed the delivery of the sessions, interaction between participants and facilitators, and the use of a questionnaire as an evaluation instrument. However, the raw questionnaire data as well as the pre-test and post-test results were unavailable; therefore, changes in participants’ level of understanding and the effectiveness of the program could not be quantified. Accordingly, the results were focused on process outcomes, including the delivery of a maritime-safety literacy framework and the establishment of a basis for developing safety checklists, weather-information guidelines, emergency-reporting formats, and group communication mechanisms. Further program development should include more practical demonstrations and simulations, as well as systematically documented pre- and post-activity evaluations.
