Abstract

Masalah utama di wilayah pesisir Desa Karang Serang adalah akumulasi sampah dan limbah yang merusak ekosistem serta mengganggu kesehatan masyarakat akibat belum efektifnya sistem pengelolaan sampah lokal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan penataan lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat melalui sosialisasi serta aksi nyata kerja bakti bersama masyarakat desa. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan mencakup tiga tahapan utama: penyuluhan teori keilmuan, diskusi interaktif untuk menjaring aspirasi warga, serta praktik lapangan berupa pembersihan pantai dan pemasangan fasilitas tempat sampah organik serta non-organik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadinya transformasi fisik lingkungan pesisir yang semula kumuh menjadi lebih asri, serta adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat yang ditandai dengan partisipasi aktif warga dalam menjaga kebersihan dermaga dan area klinik kesehatan. Kesimpulan dari program ini menekankan bahwa penataan lingkungan yang terintegrasi dengan edukasi mampu menciptakan investasi jangka panjang bagi kehidupan masyarakat, baik dari sisi kesehatan maupun potensi ekonomi eduwisata di masa depan.

 

The primary issue in the coastal area of Karang Serang Village is the accumulation of waste and litter that degrades the ecosystem and affects public health due to the lack of an effective local waste management system. This community service activity aims to organize a clean and healthy environment through socialization and concrete collective cleanup actions with the villagers. The implementation methods used include three main stages: scientific theory counseling, interactive discussions to gather resident feedback, and field practice involving beach cleanup and the installation of organic and non-organic waste bin facilities. The results indicated a physical transformation of the coastal area from a neglected site into a more beautiful environment, alongside increased community awareness as evidenced by active resident participation in maintaining the cleanliness of the pier and the health clinic area. The conclusion of this program emphasizes that integrated environmental management and education can create long-term investments for community life, in terms of both health and potential economic edutourism in the future.
