Aims and Scope

Journal Marine Inside (EJMI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Politeknik Pelayaran Banten. It disseminates original research and critical scholarly contributions on maritime science, maritime engineering, shipping operations, maritime transportation, and maritime education.

EJMI particularly welcomes work in:

  1. Nautical science and navigation: navigation systems, bridge operations, voyage planning, watchkeeping, and seamanship.
  2. Marine engineering and ship machinery: marine propulsion, shipboard power systems, fuel injection, maintenance engineering, and condition monitoring.
  3. Maritime electrical and electronic systems: shipboard automation, communications, instrumentation, digital systems, and marine electrical safety.
  4. Maritime transportation and port operations: vessel operations, port management, logistics, shipping services, and operational efficiency.
  5. Maritime safety, security, and human factors: accident prevention, safety management, ergonomics, occupational safety, and seafarer-related operational issues.
  6. Marine environment and sustainability: pollution prevention, energy efficiency, emissions, environmental management, and sustainable shipping.
  7. Maritime education and training: maritime pedagogy, simulator-based learning, professional competence, STCW-related training, and education technologies.

Types of Scholarly Contributions

EJMI considers original research articles, review articles, scientifically substantiated case studies, technical and scientific notes, and relevant discussions or commentaries. All submissions must provide a clear intellectual contribution and evidence appropriate to their article type. Purely descriptive reports without a research question, analytical approach, or transferable scientific insight are generally unsuitable.
